Kit out the Refuge – Dr Bill’s Everest Base Camp Challenge

I am travelling to Everest Base Camp , Nepal on April 26th – May 13th 2022 with a group of trekkers and wanted to make my contribution to the fundraising effort to Kit Out The Refuge.

Wexford Women’s Refuge has provided a safe haven for women and their children for many years and are expanding their services with a new complex to support 12 families with independent accommodation. Construction on the new facility will begin soon and when complete the kit-out can begin. This will require significant funding and I hope you can support this element of this much-needed service.
While wi-fi is patchy on the trail, I will try my best to keep you updated on my adventure and I look forward to following in the footsteps of so many mountaineering giants! Tune in to Southeast Radio’s Morning Mix for daily updates!
Everest Base Camp is 5364 metres above sea level and will require a slow and steady plod to allow for acclimatization. I will be providing medical support as the trek doctor and hopefully everyone will enjoy themselves on what should be the trip of a lifetime!

100% of ALL donations go to Wexford Womens’ Refuge Kit-Out-The_Refuge fund. All my travel expenses are covered by myself.

Best wishes, Dr Bill Lynch
